DISNEYLAND in DECEMBER!

My mom, brother Bill, and Aunt Bonnie went to Disneyland this month...what a blast! We figured out that mom hadn't been to DLand since about 1967 so we took her!

Mom and her kids at Disneyland! :)

Rachel's Week in Boise!

Here are some of my favorite photo's from our week together!

Zoom, zoom!

This princess wears pink! "Let's go somewhere, Gramma!"

Rachel is a "girly girl." She loves her new princess nightie and purse!

She also loves hanging out with her Uncles!
Rachel is wearing Uncle Andrew's hat!

Great Grandma got her a pretty princess table to play at. Fun!!

Aunt Kimberly came to play every day! She fixed Rachel's hair!

What a cute little lady bug!
Rachel went "trick or treating" at Cousin Katie's house. Katie "bug" and Rachel are both Lady Bugs! SO CUTE!
We are having SUCH a fun week!

Kelly's Birthday Surprise!

Kelly married the most amazing man!! You won't believe what he did for her birthday! He surprised her with a trip to Southern California and 3 days at Disneyland. It wasn't easy surprising Kelly. She suspected something was up. In this picture she is frantically text messaging her brothers "fishing" for information about what her surprise was! Matt won out and warned them before they accidentally let anything slip!
Here Kelly is opening the "surprise!" What fun!!!

Matt invited some other couples over for cake and ice cream and games to finish off Kelly's fun and amazing birthday surprise!
Of course, I got the best present of all, because I get Rachel in Boise while the kids are gone on their trip. HOORAY!! :) :) :)
Here are a few more of my favorite pictures from my trip to see Kelly, Matt and Rachel last week -

Rachel is playing her mommies game - she looks very proud!

Rachel was having fun ducking under the wire to the tv game. What a happy smile!

Rachel, Kelly and I had a fun day shopping in Park City. Rachel took a break to ride the pony!

Centennial Finishes Season at 7 - 2

The Centennial Patriot football team lost a close game to Meridian High School two weeks ago ending the Patriot's hope for a playoff berth and a chance at the State Championship! It was a close game and the boys played with such determination and desire that you couldn't help coming away feeling like winners! Great job, Patriots.
They had one final game vs Borah High this week and enjoyed a lot of success in all aspects of their game defeating them 63 to 6. Jon had a QB sack (5 total on the season) and was in on a lot of tackles. This will be looked back on as a losing season for Centennial with a 7 and 2 record which says alot about this team and the high expecations they set for themselves! As for this Patriot mom, I'm proud of all 50 of my Centennial Varsity football players!!
Before you get too sad about Jon's season being over, keep in mind that wrestling practice begins in two weeks. Jon placed 5th at state last year in the 215 weight division and has high hopes of doing even better this season. So again we begin the chant, GO Jon! GO Patriots!!

Centennial 28 - Timberline 10

Centennial had a great game tonight! We are still in playoff contention!! The next two games are must wins. We need EVERYONE at next weeks game. Meridian (still undefeated!) has the home field advantage and they are LOUD and ROWDY! Everyone come and cheer on Jon and the Patriots!!!

Centennial 21 - Vallivue 23

Well, it wasn't fun for Centennial, losing on their home field tonight!! We fought hard and lost to a great opponent! Jon and the defense had some great stops against a really tough offense. Good job, Patriots! 5-1 is a good record. We just can't afford any more losses and hope for a playoff spot!

Centennial VS Valivue

Tonight Jon's football team goes up against Valivue High School from Caldwell, which a few years ago would have seemed a less than daunting foe. However, as the city of Caldwell has grown immensely in population so Valivue has grown into a team to look out for. As of right now they boast the number one offense in the valley. Their running back averages 9.25 yards per carry! and they have the biggest offensive lineman in the state! The team averages 509 yards and 45 points per game! Well, I think it's a recipe for Jon, Jamie, Jake and Kyle (Centennial's front four d - linemen) to have some fun!! Let's see if they can squelch Valivue's impressive numbers and add to their own tonight! GO PATRIOTS!!

Saturday BBQ with our Family

Bill amazed us with his BBQ talent once again! He came to Boise and
cooked for Jon's whole varsity team on Thursday night, and then
cooked for the rest of the family on Saturday! Thanks Uncle Bill!!!Jon seems to have found his happiest place here as he
and his friends worked their way through an immense
amount of BBQ ribs, chicken and shrimp! My mom and her cute little puppy "TinkerBell"
Bill and Tami sat down for a minute after the cooking and eating
were done. Actually, Bill and Farrell sat down long enough for Tam and
I to beat them at a game of spades! Girls rule again! :)
Yes, those are challenging words!

Dad and Farrell studying Bill's grilling style! Always trying to learn
from the best!I think we'll just look forward to Bill and Tam's next
trip to Boise!!
